**Step 1:**As we know, a whole of something is equal to 100%. In this case, we want to find what 1% of 561 is. We know that 100% of 561 is, well, just 561.**Step 2:**If 100% of 561 is 561, then we can get 1% of 561 by dividing it by 100. Let's do 561 / 100. This is equal to 5.61. Now we know that 1% is 5.61.**Step 3:**Now that we know what 1% of 561 is, we just need to multiply it by 1 to get our solution! 5.61 times 1 = 5.61. That's all there is to it!
