How to Deactivate Amazon Prime Auto-Renewal in India
If you no longer want Amazon Prime to renew automatically in India, you can follow the steps below to disable auto-renewal.
Deactivate via Desktop (Website)
- Visit amazon.in and log in to your account.
- Hover over “Accounts & Lists” and click on “Prime Membership”.
- Click “Manage Membership”.
- Select “End Membership” or "Update, Cancel and More".
- Click “End Membership and Benefits” and follow the prompts.
- Your benefits will continue until the end of the current subscription, but auto-renew will be turned off.
Deactivate via Amazon Mobile App
- Open the Amazon app and log in.
- Tap the Profile icon at the bottom.
- Scroll to “Manage Prime Membership”.
- Select “Manage Membership” then tap “End Membership and Benefits”.
- Complete all confirmation steps.
Cancel UPI or Bank Auto-Debit Mandate
- Open your UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) or your bank's app.
- Go to the AutoPay, Mandate, or eNACH section.
- Locate the Amazon Prime mandate and select Cancel or Pause.
- Confirm cancellation to stop automatic charges.
Important Notes:
- Ensure all confirmation steps are completed to properly disable auto-renewal.
- Prime benefits continue until the current billing cycle ends.
- If Amazon and your bank both have active mandates, cancel on both sides to avoid renewal.
