Gruha Lakshmi Scheme- Government will give 2,000 rupees every month to women

The Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, a promise made by the Congress party in its election manifesto, aims to benefit 12.8 crore families in the state of Karnataka. Eligibility Criteria for Gruha Lakshmi Scheme

To be eligible for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, women must fall under the Antyodaya, Below Poverty Line (BPL), or Above Poverty Line (APL) categories. The woman should be identified as the head of the household as per the ration card issued by the government. Only one woman from a family can avail of the benefits, and government employees or those paying income tax or GST are not eligible.

 

  • Women Head of the Family: To qualify for the scheme, only women officially recognized as the head of the family in government-issued BPL (Below the Poverty Line), APL (Above the Poverty Line), or Antyodaya cards are eligible to apply.

 

  • Government Service: Women currently employed in the government service are not eligible to avail of financial assistance through the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.

 

  • Income Limit: The applicant's family income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs per annum to meet the eligibility criteria for the scheme.

 

  • Taxpayers: Women who are taxpayers or whose husbands are taxpayers are not eligible to avail the benefits of the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.

  • GST Payments: To be eligible for the scheme, neither the woman nor her husband should be making GST (Goods and Services Tax) payments or filing GST returns.
