Flipkart And Snapdeal Sellers Arrested For Fake Products

MIDC police along with Enforcers of Intellectual Property Right aka EIPR recently raided an authorized dealer of Flipkart and Snapdeal and found several fake products in the godown. As per the reports from Mid Day, the team plan to take action after receiving number of complaints regarding fake HP products. EIPR found that almost 95-percent of the HP products were fake

.

Not only one, total of three authorized Flipkart and Snapdeal dealers were raided and held with several fake products. These 3 dealers include: Sangat sales, Mahakali stationery, Mahakali Xerox and Dubaria. The report revealed that the MIDC police raided Prabhu Kanji Dubaria’s godown after EIPR approached them.

Assistant police inspector of MIDC police station, Gangadhar Muddiraj said, “Along with HP products, we also found various other kinds of fake items including perfumes, cosmetics etc.” Dubaria will be produced in court tomorrow.

Flipkart is yet to comment.
