Yeah this probe arises when you're using to root with older apps which have older version of super user/super su imbeded and then tryna update SU through the app pop up or application menu...

It could be fixed by various ways...

Uninstall old SuperSU and get the updated version...

According to [Chainfire]- developer of SuperSU:

Superuser access management runs through a so called “su binary”.

There can be only one of these at a time. So if you install SuperSU, your previous superuser access management solution will no longer operate.

Here’s a workaround that might work for you.

1) Tap in ‘Settings’ and then search for an option for it to install/update/replace the 'su binary'

2) Confirm root - using apps are using the superuser solution you want.

3) Uninstall SuperSU.

4) Now install the recent SuperSU update, head over to

Play Store- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu

The easiest way if you're familiar with root then try 'Busybox Installer' , it diagnose every root related errors and fix them too easily...

Or Else Google Is Your Friend... Have better idea by Googling through it...

But if you dont know much about rooting then dont blame me or others 'cause you could end up with a bricked phone... #Just_Saying... :)
